Maine Maple Sunday at the Museum

The Alfred Shaker Museum will be open on Maine Maple Sunday (March 22, 2015). Come join us for refreshments!

The Museum Gift Shop will also be open for shopping. Browse our collections of handcrafted items ranging from Shaker brooms and boxes to braided rugs, pickles, and preserves, plus books, prints, notecards, and many other fun items.

Maine Maple Sunday: Mark Your Calendars!

The Alfred Shaker Museum will be open for the day on Maine Maple Sunday (March 23, 2014) from 1 – 4 PM. While you’re out and about, visiting sugar houses and enjoying the Maple Sunday festivities, plan to stop by the Museum to view pieces from our permanent collection. The Museum Shop will be open, with its selection of handcrafted items including rugs, Shaker boxes, brooms, pickles and preserves, and hand-knitted and crocheted items as well as books, toys, and gifts.

Some of the items available at the Museum Shop include art prints (framed and unframed), handcrafted Shaker containers and other items from New England crafters, card, braided rugs, novelty items, hand-turned bowls, cutting boards, baskets, and even dog treats!

Museum Hours:

Museum Hours: 1 PM – 4 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and by appointment.

Closing for the season on November 11.

Admission: Free. Donations are gratefully accepted.

We are dog-friendly. Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome in our building.
